Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has bonded with a team of 46 communication schools around the globe in Google News Lab University Network.
To inform in detail about this initiative, IIMC issued a statement saying, in today’s time of digitized media, this program will provide IIMC students with the necessary information of vital online facilities such as Google Search, Google Maps, Google Trends and Google Earth.
Google News Lab’s Training and development Manager, Nicholas Whitaker, wrote in a medium.Com post that, The Google News Lab Network is developed to deliver in-person and online training and support to professors and students on various topics of importance such as Google tool fundamentals, immersive storytelling, data journalism, Google Trends and many more.
Apart from IIMC, Symbiosis college of Pune and St. Xavier’s from Mumbai are also joining the Google Lab Network. The Network bonds 27 schools in the United States, 12 in Europe, three in Hong Kong, and one in Mexico along with India’s three institutes.
